Dr Rothwell became a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 2004. He gained extensive experience in helicopter rescue and medical retrievals from remote areas working for Lifeflight Rescue from 1999 until 2004. His interest in hiking has taken him to various parts of the world including remote Queensland, Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Scotland, France, New Zealand and the Kokoda Trail and East New Britain in Papua New Guinea. His other interests include running and mountain biking. He continues to provide expert medical advice to some of Australia's leading adventure companies.

Dr Rosengren completed his Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 2003. He has extensive remote medical experience including working for two years in remote Queensland Hospitals. He has extensive experience in helicopter rescue and has worked as an expedition doctor to the Antarctic and East New Britain, Papua New Guinea. He has a special interest in Australian envenomations, particularly venomous snakes and spiders. He assists Australia's leading adventure companies with his expert advice.

Dr David McKinnon MBBS, FACEM, FAWM

Dr McKinnon graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1994. He became a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 2004. His interest in Wilderness Medicine stems from his other passion - Ultramarathon running. He has completed 30 off-road ultramarathons since 2001. These have been in a variety of terrains and environments including the Glasshouse Mountains and Alpine 100 mile ultramarathons, the Kepler track in New Zealand and the Cradle Mountain Run in Tasmania. He has first-hand experience in the medical problems of the ultra-endurance athlete, including heat illnesses and fluid balance disorders. His other medical interests include anaphylaxis and medical education.

Dr Duncan graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1994. She became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2005. Her medical interests include Medical Ethics, Echocardiography and Emergency Airway Management. She has experience in planning, preparation, equipment and fluid balance at endurance events; and is a keen runner and hiker.
