Dr Rothwell became a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 2004. He gained extensive experience in helicopter rescue and medical retrievals from remote areas working for Lifeflight Rescue from 1999 until 2004. His interest in hiking has taken him to various parts of the world including remote Queensland, Scotland, France, New Zealand and the Kokoda Trail and East New Britain in Papua New Guinea. His other interests include running and mountain biking. He continues to provide expert medical advice to some of Australia's leading adventure companies. |
